African Wildlife Foundation

The African Wildlife Foundation remains at the forefront of fighting for leopards. Whether we are building predator-proof enclosures to prevent human-wildlife conflict, providing rangers with ample resources for anti-poaching patrols, or advocating for leopards and other animals that get stolen from their homes for the illegal pet trade, AWF is protecting leopards across the continent.

Founded in 1961, the African Wildlife Foundation, together with the people of Africa, works to ensure the wildlife and wild lands of Africa will endure forever. AWF is the leading international conservation organization focused solely on Africa. We believe that protecting Africa's wildlife and wild landscapes is the key to the future prosperity of Africa and its people - and for over 45 years we have made it our work to help ensure that Africa's wild resources endure. At AWF we approach all of our work at the landscape level - that is to say, we look at large landscapes (we have identified eight of these areas to date). Within these landscapes, we implement a variety of efforts that conserve land, protect species and empower people.

Homes First

Homes First develops and provides affordable, stable housing and support services to break the cycle of homelessness for people with the fewest housing options. Far too many Toronto residents are experiencing homelessness or extreme housing precarity, due mainly to a chronic shortage of affordable housing options, as well as ineffectual social supports to meet complex needs.

Homes First is working towards closing these gaps and helping residents maintain their housing by providing a program that delivers high supports and that would also allow individuals to age in place. Our agency has developed a support model that includes medical/psychiatric services, medication monitoring, assistance with maintaining personal hygiene and clean-living spaces, financial management, navigating the criminal justice system, and a host of additional age-specific supports.

 Canadian Women's Foundation

The Canadian Women’s Foundation is a national leader in the movement for gender equality in Canada. Through funding, research, advocacy, and knowledge sharing, we work to achieve systemic change. We support women, girls, and gender-diverse people to move out of violence, out of poverty, and into confidence and leadership.

Together, we will build a gender equal Canada by:

  • Transforming Lives with programs that help women, girls, and gender-diverse people move out of violence, out of poverty, and into confidence and leadership.
  • Improving Communities by strengthening the organizations and the groups that help those who need it most.
  • Changing Systems by challenging biases, building awareness, and advocating for policies and practices that make life better for everyone impacted by gender injustice.
